Stanhopea wardii Lodd ex Lindley

This is quite a common orchid in collections. However, its colour variation and very easy culture makes it, if nothing else a very reliable flowerer and an excellent landscape or beginers plant. It comes Central and South America, it is often confused with Stanhopea gravelones.
